CDF Canada receives the Reginald J. Cressman Award

The Association of Cooperative Educators (ACE), one of the most prestigious co-op education associations in North America, presented the Reginald J. Cressman Award to the Co-operative Development Foundation of Canada, during the ACE Annual Conference. The event took place in Montréal on May 29th.

The Award was given in recognition of the contribution of CDF Canada’s Women’s Mentorship Program to supporting cooperative staff development around the world. Marc-André Pigeon and Erin Hancock, members of the CDF Canada Board of Directors, received the award on behalf of the organization.

“The Women’s Mentorship Program is a program that we can all be proud of. More than 250 women, from 25 countries, and over 200 Canadian credit unions have participated in the Program. For women participants to go back to their countries with new skills, confidence and lead with new knowledge has been profoundly transformative”said Erin Hancock, CDF Canada Board member.

The Reginald J. Cressman award recognizes an individual or organization for their continuing contribution to educating about the benefits, impact, and principles of cooperatives through academic curriculum, publications, marketing campaigns, member communications, and leadership training programs.
