CDF Canada is pleased to announce the collaboration with Africa Skills Hub to mutually support and advocate climate change efforts in adaptation and mitigation in the agricultural and co-operative sector.
CDF Canada and Africa Skills Hub share a mission to build self-reliant communities around Africa. Together, we aim to work on projects that reduce the negative impact of climate change, support climate-smart agriculture, promote mitigation measures and advance rural development.
CDF Canada, Executive Director Benoit Andre, said, “We are happy to partner with Africa Skills Hub. Their work to support and train youth with skills and knowledge and our experience on the grounds will help bring new technology and ideas into positive solutions for rural communities.”
Commenting on the partnership, Daniel Amoako Antwi, Executive Director, Africa Skills Hub said, “Collaborations and partnerships are the most important resources needed in a post-pandemic era. Together with CDF Canada, we look forward to strengthening and empowering our young women and their communities economically to build back their lives better.”
With CDF Canada’s long and established record of growing community-owned co-operatives and Africa Skills Hub in building a strong youth network, we believe that this collaboration will advance and support the interests and activities of each organization to have a greater impact. CDF Canada and Africa Skills Hub are planning to support projects that focus on facilitating youth capacity building, employment, and other opportunities in Africa.
