Funded by Global Affairs Canada, the 4R Solution project focuses on improving the socio-economic well-being and resilience of smallholder farmers, particularly women, by incorporating 4R Nutrient Stewardship (Right Source @ Right Rate, Right Time, Right Place) principles into agricultural production. Fertilizer Canada, CDF Canada, University of Manitoba, OCP group and University Mohammed VI Polytechnic are convening the first Africa-Canada 4R Solution and Precision Nutrient Management Summit Inaugural series of sessions. The series will be held on an online platform from June 2020 to February 2021 and will include bi-weekly learning events, which will bring together key stakeholders in 4R nutrient management research and extension from Canada and Africa with the goal of developing a Canada-Africa 4R academic network to support knowledge transfer. In turn, this will help identify 4R and precision nutrient management research and extension gaps in Africa, raise the profile of 4Rs in Africa and Canada, and create an opportunity for future investment in African 4R and precision nutrient management research and extension. It is envisaged that each session will have about 100 participants.
On July 13th, we will be hosting the Second Webinar in a series of learning events dedicated to 4R Solution and Precision Nutrient Management.
