We are deeply saddened by the loss of our CDF Canada friend and supporter, a cherished member of the co-op community. Born on August 2, 1945, Barry’s dedication to the co-op sector spanned decades, and his passion for cooperative development led to significant improvements both locally and around the world.
Barry dedicated 45 years of his life serving on the board of his local co-op, with 15 of those years being spent on the board of Federated Co-op. His tireless work earned him the Global Cooperator Award in 2007, and the Distinguished Co-operator Award from the Manitoba Co-operative Association in 2012. But what Barry cherished the most were the close friendships formed during his journey with the co-op.
